Feeling fried? Android app warns how much radiation your phone is blasting into you (but Apple won't allow it for iPhone)

There are two types of radiation - ionizing and non-ionizing. The ionizing variety is the kind that can make physical changes in the substances it passes through. X-rays and gamma rays are two kinds of ionizing radiation. The low-energy radiation (radio waves) used by cell phones is the non-ionizing kind, which is not capable of making changes to the things it passes through, including your head. It passes through leaving no more trace than the countless neutrinos that travel through us every day.
