FROM A WOMAN

The real issue has nothing to do with pay for work or women's pay directly; this is an issue of expanding the Federal Government to expand its reach through the creation of another agency to monitor who is paid for what and who said what ----------and mandate as in Obamacare .

It is price fixing in the workplace. It is simply the latest ploy, an attempt to garner votes for Obama boy.

Reid's potential legislation is another separation type technique used by the Obama fear mongers.

Romney is not in the Senate; he cannot vote on Reid's possible legislation. Romney presuming he is the nominee should go ahead with his plans for campaigning and ignore Reid's static.

"Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) will bring to the floor in coming weeks legislation to protect women from retaliation by employers if they inquire about salaries paid to male colleagues.Republicans voted in unison to block the bill, the Paycheck Fairness Act, when it came to the floor in November of 2010. [ Sounds like a Create Workplace Dissension Act ... let's all demand to know what everyone else is paid so we can sue for discrimination. ] Democrats say it will be difficult for GOP senators to back out of their opposition, especially because the U.S. Chamber of Commerce has staunchly opposed the legislation.Mitt Romney will either have to split with Republicans and an important business group or take a position that could further erode his support among women.
