Good points, slacker, and thanks for the table, too.

It shows that in the past five years, Apple have never reported GM less than 94 basis points above their guidance, and the quarter they reported 94 was the only time they were below 100bp.

The average of the figures in that table is 313.70, and the median is 299. This doesn't include the just-reported quarter, where the beat on margin was around 450bp, which obviously would bring the average up.

There is no reason to expect that the company's performance in this respect will change materially in the near future.
