Me too. But I have to confess I still look at the number before the SPX. Lifetime of habit... like millions of other people. They should kill the Dow just to protect us from ourselves.
I think that's the only reason to care about the Dow - the fact that a lot of people do care about it.

I generally don't look at it at all. Not that it should matter to anyone what I look at. It's not as if I'm some kind of big-time trader. I'm not even a tycoon in my own mind or on SI.

I will say, though, that I believe I understand Apple as well as anyone, professional or amateur.
