I don't know if you saw this email from Richard last Thursday. Perhaps you even donated to the campaign already – thanks! Because of your generosity we have been able to exceed our $100k goal!
This only adds to our chorus of good news. On Friday, Sarah Palin endorsed Richard. Also, one of Lugar's out of state special interest PACs announced they were no longer supporting him financially. We also received the endorsement of the Evansville Courier and Press.
But those things aren't stopping Lugar's desperate attack machine. In fact, over the weekend we learned that another D.C. establishment group is joining with Dick Lugar to try to encourage Democrats to vote in the Republican Primary. Conservative commentator Michelle Malkin now says its "Mourdock vs the Beltway GOP Establishment." Erick Erickson, of RedState.com says this tactic is "offensive."
That's why I'm emailing you again. I've talked with Richard, and it's now clear that we need to raise another $25k immediately to help run some additional ads in the Indianapolis TV market where Dick Lugar is working overtime to smear Richard's reputation. Will you make an immediate contribution of whatever you can afford?
Our polls, and the polls of other 3rd party organizations, show that we are running ahead of Dick Lugar now, and we can win this thing. But we can't keep getting outspent by hundreds of thousands of dollars. A contribution of $35, $50 or even $100 would make a great big difference.

Three weeks ago, I sent an email saying we were down 6 points. Now, two polls show us LEADING Senator Lugar by as many as 5 points! (Politico, 4/26/12).
It boils down to this.
