What energy crisis? Would the bacon be ok to eat? I don't think it would be really all that safe for kids. What happens is it falls off the counter and the plates jam together? You could burn the toast. As long as you remember to not wear anything metal and wear a lead apron while cooking. Heck, cellular telephones and microwaves have similar limitations.
