re the Apple Hi-Fi

Well when we got it, for whatever reason we didn't really use it.... I mean, we plugged it in and tried it out but didn't really have an opportunity to listen to it for a while, and then we sort forgot about it.

Then I took it to my college reunion last summer... a DJ-ing buddy of mine had brought a 2-iPad mixing set-up (which was amazing to see!! dunno which apps exactly but it showed a pic of a turntable and was accessing playlists from his laptop, the iPad's went into a mixer and at the end of it we needed speakers so I volunteered) and it sounded decent at lower volume levels... so we brought the setup out to the outdoor tent and cranked it and it was AMAZING how much sound this puppy could deliver! Huge-ass lower end, just loads of effortless-sounding volume, I had never suspected how freaking loud this thing could get!!!

Too bad it never sold, but I can understand from the price-point... anyway at high-volumes it totally delivers, sounds kind of average at "background music" levels though. I left the reunion confused, naked, and befuddled, but totally impressed at the Apple HiFi :-D
