<<<<<<What's your prediction for the Nikkei tonight?

.......it's hard to say because information is leaking out as we speak that could drive nikkei up or down.

....last week the market changed day to day based on hashimoto's indecisiveness.

......we are at or near the bottom--it still could go lower if the bureaucrats don't:
1. use public funds to set up an RTC type of bailout.
2. deregulate more of the economy and let the weak companies go under
3. cut some taxes
if the above are done we begin, at some point in the next 6-9 months, the next nikkei bull market. if hash and his boys screw around we will drift aimlessly up and down.

i assume they will stumble into deregulaton--much the way the soviets stumbled into breaking up their empire--once it has started it may get out of control. that will start the necessary free market reforms to reform the japanese economy.
