Everyone knows I'm convinced that ASND is to be acquired. Notwithstanding, when names of potential suitors are tossed in the air, without much in the way of factual support, it does take work to sort through them.

When Maverick posted his list of possibilities, he went through some effort to show how these entities might make a good "fit" with ASND. Though I don't know the technical end at all, I've tried to show how trading patterns suggest that something is in the works and I've also tried to shows how SEC filings and other clues may indicate the likelihood a potential suitor.

People have emailed me with the names of potential suitors, but I've not repeated them here without some kind of support to make the post worthwhile. If anyone has any support for the supposed IBM deal (other than what a friend of a friend said), please post it. Otherwise, maybe we should just move on to consider other possibilities. As Ejabat said, "Anything in this market is doable," so maybe IBM or WCOM or Disney or whomever is preparing to do something with ASND, but what we need to develop here is demonstrable evidence in favor of, or against, any of these possibilities or others (or in favor of a non-acquisition scenario, if that is the case). Working together, maybe we can at least stay even with the MMs.
