And, your alphas wouldn't even budge on socialism for Big Oil. The conservative's defense of oil company subsidies was embarrassing.

Intelligent people, whether Democrat or Republican, defend cheap energy in whatever form it takes..

The cheaper the better. And the cheaper the energy, the more you can pay your employees.

And considering how much subsidization Wind Mills and Solar has received, as well as the equal ecological damage it inflicts (rare earth metals, toxic chemicals from panel manufacturing, and other impacts), Hydrocarbons are relatively subsidy free. And actually, as in the case in Alaska, they pay substantial tax to the point where they are a net benefit to the state's economy.

Make your alternative energy as cheap (or cheaper) and as reliable as hydrocarbons and I'll be more than happy to "jump on your bandwagon"..

As for corruption on Wall St., who's in charge right now? Who's the guy who decided to continue to prop up the TBTF banks? The former NY Fed Governor.. Tim Geitner.

And btw.. you don't think that Carbon Credits, created by the same lady who brought us Credit Default Swaps (Blythe Masters), aren't full of corruption?

The Wall St. banks are licking their lips at the opportunity to manipulate the supply of carbon emissions, just as they do commodities like Oil.
