Are you so detached & devoid of any contribution to the subject at hand that you're unaware of the different kinds of food gathering or hunting techniques unique to certain groups of same species ? Adaptation to different habitats ,temperature zones & food supply , there are many examples of Dolphins that have developed unique hunting techniques from Bottle Nose to Orca's which is based on innate instinct , there's more complexity going on here too . And they teach these techniques to their young and many other examples with Elephants & various tribes of Apes and other primates , all the more advanced mammalians.

There's the art of interweaving the discoveries of science that does really come up with many interesting hypothesis . But just simple gaze back in time one easily sees that not just within one species is there experiential modes but interspecies interaction influences upon each other . Life is a dance between the prey & the hunter , many other competing groups that depend on same food supplies or water sources that effect changes & adaptation of behaviors not strictly caused by climate change , natural disaster , drifting continents , migrations , extinction & all the other things that offer change .

Think of different species living within proximity to each other , observing each others behaviors & incrementially the wolf or lion that adapts to their prey , so the prey is effected & adapts too. There's the structure of the tribal group , divisions of labor & experience of the hunt , mating rules , maternity & raisng/ guarding, feeding, teaching the young , all inplay .

Look at how much we ouselves learned by observing & imitating animals farther back, even worshipping them and here's where branches of science do have the potential to become more of an artform but still based on observable facts & data .
