The job number Friday was catastrophic. All this after years of stimulus.

Average hourly earnings are $23.38 and are declining on an inflation-adjusted basis.
The US is increasingly becoming a population of part-time workers,
as full time jobs disappear. What are the odds those full time jobs come back?
A part time retail job may be fine for a high school age person,
but you can't raise a family on that income. Good-bye middle class.

In April the number of people not in the labor force rose by 522,000 from 87,897,000 to
88,419,000. This is the highest on record. The flip side, and the reason why the unemployment # dropped to 8.1% is that the labor force participation rate just dipped to a new 30 year low of 64.3%.

Think about that for a moment.

"In almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons... who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind"
