Gerald, I would remind you that Justice is attempting to prevent Browser/Operating system integration or "bundling" if you prefer,by MSFT Corp., hardly trivial. And I would further the case that MSFT is exceptionally capable of integrating(hence the "you have been assimilated joke")into the operating system any application developed by anyone which has broad revenue potential. This is a core competency late in the Corp.'s development-it is what they do best.In fact assimilation/integration is the defacto R+D dept.
Netscape had multibillion dollar sales potential before MSFT began to integrate the competing web browser.Without the legal intervention of Reno's experts,NSCP will struggle to reach the size of Adobe, for instance.Don't expect MSFT to stop at the browser issue either, they will try the same tactics on every NSCP revenue opportunity if the Justice suit fails.I don't think you appreciate the extent of Bill's animus toward NSCP--this is a battle of extinction.
