We have a glut of old people sitting on their asses (and playing on computers), or in their RV's. We need to raise the retirement age. With life expectancy going up, work expectancy needs to go up too. I don't expect shiftless poor people to sit on their butts (make 'em work, make 'em train for something), and I don't expect shiftless old people to do so either- at least not on the public dole.

Not only would this help productivity- but it would help the obesity epidemic. People who are working aren't able to go to the fridge constantly.
