You may well be correct, Allen...My non-TA "intuition" in fact similar..
I could also be wrong, of course.
But as long as I'm making predictions, I'll say that if the sideways consolidation that I'm expecting occurs, we'll see a lot of posts and articles claiming several things.
1) Apple's best days are behind it
2) Competition is going to compress Apple's margins
3) The law of large numbers says that Apple can't grow much from here
4) There are a lot of better places to put your money
5) X, Y, or Z show that Apple has lost its innovation and/or marketing mojo, customer focus, product focus, etc.
6) Apple's fans are deluded if they think the company can continue to dominate in the smartphone and/or tablet markets
And so on. I'm sure I'm forgetting a few of them. To find the rest, one would only need to go back and look at posts on this thread from the last period of sideways movement. ;-)
As always, the past is an imperfect predictor of the future. But it's the best one we have. |
