UAL and its pilots are in contract negotiations and the president of Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA), Lee Moak, will not release the UAL pilots from mediation. If they are not released, there is a 30 day cooling off period and a strike could be a soon as June 15. The UAL pilots are already mad at ALPA for illegally ditching their pensions. (UAL pilots won the lawsuit.)

UAL pilots today are fed up with the union boss masters lining their pockets and pensions with dues paying pilots working at 50% pay cuts, loss of pensions, loss of benefits, no pay raises for years.

ALPA is on the hook in the TWA lawsuit of not representing it members in the merger of AA and TWA seniority. TWA pilots won and ALPA is estimated to owe appx $1.2 B. I guess they are going to beat it out of the pilots that are members of ALPA.

Lee Moak may be filing bankruptcy of a union. Never heard of a union filling bankruptcy. But I am sure he has his pension insured! Not to worry, Lee Moak has the Kitty Hawk Off Shore Insurance Plan, paid for by union members. What a gig.
