MJ,

It's funny that you should mention that. Just a couple of days ago, I was in Soquel (a few miles from my home) and decided to stop in at a Safeway Store.

When I asked for plastic bags, they told me that they were no longer allowed to use them because the "city" had decided to outlaw them. Then she told me that if I wanted paper bags, they would cost me 10-cents each.

I deserve a halo because I bit my tongue. I wanted to say LOUDLY, "Chalk up another one for the NAZIS."

Instead, I said heck no, I'll take the stuff to my car one piece at a time -- she then dumped all my stuff back in the basket.

This is the world that we are being forced to live in. They destroy our quality of life while ignoring the unspeakable damage done by, for example, disposable diapers. And how about the destruction of our State Parks and other public areas by illegals coming into my state.

(And the truth is, I always recycle and reuse plastic bags.)
