I'm not a believer that the Left is purposefully trying to destroy American economy in order to punish her for past and present sins. There is no need for such designs -- all they need to do is follow their bad ideas -- like, keep cultivating and growing the public sector and the government, tax, print and spend more, redistribute more, regulate more, introduce more controls and micromanagement.... promote fear and resentment of bad, nasty capitalists, and cultivate the belief in governmental protections and solutions.
It's a chicken/egg thing. Don't you see that their desire to destroy our capitalist, individual-freedom-based economy was what made them put those policies in place in the first place?
Just consult Cloward-Piven, or Saul Alinsky, and it's clear that the Cloward-Piven strategy of economic recovery (*cough*), especially, insists that they create the economic crisis in order to incrementally ride in on their white horses and 'solve' it. Socialism and full-fledged dictatorship are just a hair's-breadth different in their ideal 'outcomes'.
And America's 'sins', as the leftists see them, simply boil down to our belief in the individual. They mask that with claims that we cause and oppress the poor, we want to colonize the globe, we hate the environment, etc. But, bottom line, their hatred and demonization of America's foundations is directly proportional to her elevation of the rights of the individual.
It's the same with this administration's energy policy. Some people claim that, in order to save the environment, Obama is making America more energy dependent, when really he is making us more energy dependent simply to make us more energy dependent. His concern for 'the environment', just like all of his other 'concerns', is a ruse. The man doesn't have an altruistic, patriotic, nature-loving 'concerned' bone in his body. |
