That's a good question. However it is unusual to say the least, for an institution that size to bet on a company the size of LQMT. Its just one fact among many. Hopefully its evidence that behind the scenes positive things are happening.

The way I look at it is my bet is speculative. There are a lot of rumors and facts out there. There are a lot of misconceptions. The golf head misconception is the most obvious. That one is still floating around as are rumors of malfeasance inside the organization which were true at one time but seem to have been eliminated.

IMHO the preponderance of evidence supports certain conclusions. I'm just as amazed at excess enthusiasm as I am at excess negativity. I've seen people predicting all sorts of things based on incomplete information. Certain things have to happen for LQMT to make me big money, rumors won't do it.

And I may lose. So far that is not the case. My basis is pretty low.

It occurs to me that this is the same situation all investors face. What is happening inside Apple? We don't know. We don't know if there is going to be a phone in June or Oct. We don't know if Ive is going to quit. We didn't know the iPhone was going to be a hit.

But I'll tell you IMHO buying lottery tickets, or going to Las Vegas is nuts. Betting on stocks is way more safe than that action.
