Hi Jean,

I have been in the industry for over 10 years and currently work for Novell. I really believe that Novell is an excellant buy at this time and is under valued. The worst thing to do in my opinion is to sell now. The investment community as a whole has a wait and see attitude with Novell (most recommend HOLD right now). Over the past year, Novell has lost a lot of mind share, mainly due to poor marketing. But on the upside, Novell's software products are YEARS ahead of the competition in performance and features, still has very strong sales which are exceeding it's competitors and is finacially stable. This is a company with large cash reserves, virtually no debt, is the leader in its market and is years ahead of the competition. The marketing hype of it's competitors has scared the industry in believing that Microsoft will rule the industry and Novell will fade into the dust like so many other companies before it. This is only hype and the facts don't support it. With the resignation of Novell's previous CEO and a new person now at the helm, you are going to see an immediate change in Novell. A change from passive marketing to aggresive marketing which will help bring the facts to light. If you keep up with the trade journals you will see in the past 6 months there has been a trend of more and more articles about corporations dumping their original plan to switch to Microsoft and have instead chosen Novell. The journals have also consistently named Novell's NetWare product the choice over Microsofts NT product.

If hype was reality then I too would sell Novell stock. But since it isnt, this makes it a great buy. At a risk of looking foolish, I suggest you mark my words and see where Novell's stock prices are within 1 to 1 1/2 years from now. I believe you'll be glad you bought the stock.

Since I have an obvious interest in Novell stocks, I follow it regularly. If you have any questions, feel free to write me.

Bruce
