Actually we don't have to rely on anyone's memory for a price and volume history lesson on ISSM. America On Line now offers historical quotes and graphs on Bulletin Board stocks. Their data base goes back eight months.
During the last eight months ISSM has spiked price wise 4 times. Following are the dates, volumes, prices and REASONS:
Date.... High.... Low... Last.... Change.... Volume..... Reason
6-26-95.. 1 3/4... 1 1/8... 1 1/2... + 3/8... 195,000... Scheff T. Reco 8-02-95... 1 1/2... 13/16... 1 5/16... + 7/16... 122,500... GPG P* Reco 9-14-95... 1 1/4... 15/16... 1 1/4... + 5/16... 146,900... SA Adv. Reco 2-23-96... 1 7/16... 11/16... 1 3/16... + 7/16... 1,190,900... ?????????????
In the first three instances above, Michael, all the price spikes were based on buying by small investors after a newsletter reco. Obviously, Friday's action was clearly something else. The buying was by a large (or multiple large) buyer(s). I do not know who bought, or why they bought, or what they know; but I think it would be a mistake to misinterpret the historical data and conclude that you are seeing deja vu all over again. That's not the way I read the "history lesson."
Hope you find this "factual" info useful.
