So in other words, tax moneys that would have gone to the government were retained within AIG as a special 'benefit' so AIG could claim a profit and the government could claim it made money on the AIG bailout.

Kenny, shifting money from one pocket to the other is something politicians like to do to spin things, but it's no substitute for free market fundamentals.
