Yes, during my day trading I buy on margin. Very rarely hold overnight in my margin account. Seems like every time I hold it overnight, I would have been better off being flat. That's an overstatement but I find that my type of trading performs the best when you take the approach to be flat at the end of each day. I do this for several reasons but the main one is that I'm not tied to the market the next morning. Whether something comes up in the personal life or in the market overnight, it doesn't matter if you're flat. For that matter, you can sleep in or whatever without any stress. Book your gains or take your losses. Probably the best advice I can give to anyone out there day trading.
