In any case, if Apple is going to adopt this once-a-year Mac OS cycle, I'll only be upgrading every other year. That also has the pleasant side effect of not adding more bloat (and slowness) to my Mac, so I'll get more satisfaction out of keeping a faster machine.

Since Leopard, I've not heard of anyone say their Mac has become faster with a new OS X release, only more bloated. I'd love to hear differently from anyone out there whose Mac did get faster with a new Mac OS, since Leopard that is.
