It is insane to claim the banking industry is unregulated. The regulations may be stupid but the banking industry is one of the most highly regulated in the country. Obviously the regulations changed. Obviously the changes were disastrous. That is NOT the same as deregulation.

This is a bit of a thing with me. Deregulation is a good thing. Calling stupid regulations "deregulation" taints the concept.
