We all want "something for nothing." That is why the Left does so well in elections. :>) The word is a pejorative. We use it when we are badmouthing somebody. The problem is that we are brought up from birth being told, "don't be greedy!" It's part of the altruism we have pounded into us. Starting from birth, we are trained to be submissive to both the Tribal Chief and the Witchdoctor. The President and the Preacher. The Left uses it all the time to put down the Right. It works. Obama is out there right now telling us that we have to all work together and take only what is fair. Romney has a tough time against this argument because of our moral training from the Church and the State to be altruistic.
