The alternative is massive deficit spending, which will necessarily devalue the euro.

Which suits me just fine, since it will make my vacations to Europe much cheaper.

But then exports to Europe will suffer, and the global markets don't like that.


If Europe is in a severe recession, what does it matter? Think about it. Either way exports will suffer. Better to have a recovering Europe, then one that is going deeper and deeper into recession due to extreme austerity.

Funny, WI is kind of like Europe. Maybe the US should send Walker over there.
