Thanks to all of you for your insightful posts. Let's look at a couple of other factors in the latest stock price contraction. It's certainly not too early for tax-loss dumping to begin, especially on a chronic underperformer like QDEK. If you have access to Quote.com, take a look at the 10/6/97 entry concerning QDEK's distributor relationship with Marubeni. Regardless of the economic turmoil in Japan-strong dollar/weak yen-reduced ability of of Japanese consumers to buy imported products, Marubeni participated in the de facto short/ convertible offering, which, if I understand it correctly, gives that firm a vested interest in a low share price in the short run. Do any of you know what percentage of projected gross revenues the agreement with Marubeni represents ? What ever it is, there's bound to be a perceived negative earnings impact on that front. I can't believe that QDEK is not flashing " speculative buy " on the radar screens of some aggressive growth small cap fund managers out there right about now. I also think QDEK must be planning something to support the stock price prior to the holiday funfest, otherwise it might turn into a mob scene of disgruntled and downright angry shareholders shouting down company management(obviously, this is just a jestful guess-QDEK shareholders are far too refined for that sort of thing, right ?). As usual, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong/mistaken on any of these points.
