Shark Tank is having an open casting call in Chicago tomorrow. I have spent some time this week helping a friend prepare and assemble information for his "audition." I was invited to go along, but unfortunately I have something else scheduled. The Shark Tank application can be downloaded on the show's website: http://abc.go.com/shows/shark-tank/casting If an applicant participates on the show, he or she is required to enter into an agreement with the "Shark Tank Entities" pursuant to which the Entities are entitled to a finder's fee. At the option of the Entities, they may receive either (1) 2% of the operating profits of the company; or (2) options for a 5% equity interest in the participant's company. The options appear to vest only if the participant gets funded.
