Nobody Likes a Bully

This incident should plant an indelible thought in the brains of decent, open minded, independent voters -
Romney's not the nice guy that he appears to be.
Like Edwards' $400 haircut, the haircut Romney inflicted on his classmate can be real trouble for him.
A big difference, though, is that, while Edwards problem came just before the Iowa caucus - crushing any chance he might have had - there are still 6 months that can be used to clean up Romney's bully image.
I think incidents like this that allow voters to better define for themselves the candidates' character can be more
determinative than a stack of policy statements.
