I think the articles I referenced above contain a lot of "beef". For example (from the IBM article):

>>>The leading-edge development facility will benefit from access to IBM's advanced X-ray lithography program in East Fishkill -- the only commercial X-ray chip-making operation in the United States. As a key part of the new chip project, IBM's X-ray facility will also be equipped to manufacture chips on 12-inch wafers. X-ray lithography is seen by many in the industry as the next step in the quest to continually shrink the size of microchips. IBM development teams have already demonstrated the capability of using X-ray lithography to build chips with circuitry features of 0.15 microns and below.

Initially the new center will develop manufacturing techniques for 1 gigabit DRAMs <<<<

I've never said that Cymer won't continue to do a lot of business in the coming years in DUV. I have only attempted to point out where competition might come from in the future. Remember, the market factors in the future, and it would be prudent for all Cymer investors to keep a watchful eye on the "next" chip-making technologies. You never know who could be sneaking up on you!
