Re: fabulous. IV has been working and we just get Mr. XO back to IV, a

all I am saying is if non-premium users can't post (website down), premium will get less value too as the result..
I guess a better question is why wouldn't a non-premium member choose to become a premium member. The membership fee is the least of the factor in choosing a site for me. What is the value of good discussion to one's portfolio growth over the year? I started following the BAK board since the Yahoo day. And I can category said that without the advise and discussion from BAK board, I would have still working and not retired when I was 46 (6+ years ago).

I was able to spend my first year of retirement with my daughter who was at her senior year of high school. And spend 3 months listening her babbling daily about her dilemma of getting a full ride (tuition + room and board) from UCLA vs paying full tuition + room and board for Harvard on her own dime. The experience was priceless and we builded on that experience and still talk everyday about our daily life even thought we are in different coast now. It is what good investment discussion and advise get me and I will pay dearly for them. In some way, I think the willingness of pay up for the service is a sign of how much one cherish the information. If the information is valuable and paying up will allow you access to that information, I would think that you will make that money back many times over before the years is out.

Blue situation is less than Ideal. But given his situation, that is how I would have handle it as well. You need to put your best effort in saving the site and the value of the site is the posters who cherish the exchange of information. And those are the paid premium members. So I will do everything possible for those paid member to continue their exchange. Once I fixed the site, then I will extend it back to the unpaid members and hope to grow from there. When there is limit resource, you can only prioritize the source and go from there. It is project management 101 that I saw so many project manager fail because they try to tackle so many problems that end up nothing get fix in time.
