that is largely because of debts wiped out by foreclosure, bankruptcy, forgiveness.

State governments

california is heavily in debt. it will get some tax collection from gains of selling shareholders in facebook ipo.

it is hard (nearly impossible) in any market to make money day trading, swing trading.
