I think we were down to less than 10 members last year, when folks decided this might be the vehicle for town self-reliance; we're over 30 now. Cal had 1200 members 5 years ago, and 12K now.

Members Support GMO Ballot Initiative: Signatures Needed In October, delegates of the California State Grange adopted resolution 11-051 “supporting initiatives that would enact state law requiring the labeling of GMOs (genetically modified organisms) in food.”

The resolution was introduced by the Ojai Grange and Ventura Pomona Grange.

A grass roots movement, started in March, 2011 by Chico Grange member Pamm Larry, has grown into a broad-based coalition with the goal of passing a law in California requiring that GMO foods be labeled
