yes, "economic capitalism" really does encapsulate what is going on. Another term that has been coined is "financialization" of the economy. That is when the casino of finance becomes larger than the economy itself, which is exactly what has happened to our economy. The only way that occurs is precisely if the financial services firms canibalize the free capital that other private industry participants would use. So financialization of our economy is nothing more than economic canibalization. It's the worst of both worlds. But I have a simple solution:
