Remember until the big migration started in the 1960's Florida was the deep south so there was no halfback history yet.. Even Miami, which would be culture shock to much of the country now, was a southern town and the climate was somewhat cooler. Folks think they come here to escape bad weather and snow when they are just trading it for life in a climate controllled A/C envirnonment
