Well, we definitely disagree on that. If they gain control of the Senate, it will mean that guys like Mourdock will be there. They won't put up with any minority rights whatsoever. The very idea that a Democrat could hold up a judicial nomination like Shelby has done would be outrageous to him. And to be honest, I don't disagree with that view. Single member holds are outrageous. Rule 4 used to be the way these things were done in practice, but that flaming liberal Orrin Hatch did away with that back '03 I think it was, much to the dismay of the then minority Democrats.

There has to be some minority rights, but the current batch of Republicans shows how they can be abused.
