<thankfully there wasn't any pump pieces on gold the last few years> sarcasm noted.....you confirm my post regarding media "hype" regardless of negative or positive coverage. did you short based on the pumps? our local greens keeper (who by his own admission said he knew nothing about PMs) last April bot silver at the absolute high....almost to the day. I had been shorting for months and was upside down (but uncomfortably confident, lived through the Hunt fiasco, so I had some real time historical experience, also a few of the worst investors and wrong way corrigans I've ever had the privilege to fade were both stunned and delighted that I was stupid enough to short silver). although anecdotal, there was little doubt in my mind the top was near. other people's emotions and media coverage can be quite helpful regarding the interim direction of prices.....in the log run fundamentals and reality will eventually have the day. best trades are always uncomfortable it seems.
