I'd like some help interpreting the IMS scrip numbers recently
posted for AGPH. The reference posts are
207.183.153.206
and
207.183.153.206

There were 4.5 weeks in October. Dividing the numbers in reply
2780 by 4.5 gives the weekly average for October:
-- average Total scrips/week in October: 9111
-- average Refill scrips/week in October: 5555
-- average New scrips/week in October: 3555

Now post 2979 says scrip numbers for week ending 11/14/97
continue to look strong:
New: 3386
Refills: 5465
Total: 8851

These November numbers look weaker to me than the weekly average
for October. In particular, does the Refill number of 5465 suggest
that patients are going off Viracept at least as fast as new
patients are starting the regimen? Surely not, based on what
people are saying about PI's in general and Viracept in particular.
But what explains these numbers?
