Well, first off, if they were 5 or 6 points in the money, you could pretty much be assured they will be put to you. The holder of the option has until sat around noon to give notice to exercise. You should hear on Monday so you can liquidate the stock put to you. Some firms don't show the stock until a few more days pass by. We handle options. I am an options principal and I think we do a great job with options. If you are interested, feel free to call me. Most spreads are best done on RAES or with a floor broker because there is bit of negotiation, etc. that can be done, getting an 1/8 more on 1 or an 1/8 less on the other to get your spread credit or debit.
Anyway, the internet has its limitations and you know my strong stance on these firms. On spread orders, I can enter them into the RAES with 'spread' order entry or simply give it to the floor broker as such 'steve at yamner, spread order, buy 5 calls xyz nov 7 and sell 5 puts nov 7 for a 1/2 credit" or something like that. It is not as fast as using raes (whichis great if you are paying or taking the current combined quote) but ifyou are trying to get inbetween you are trying to get inbetween on one,two or a bit of each, and a floor broker is best at working it with the mm in the option.
