Re: Wanna get pissed off? This website is indeed an eye opener, especially when you consider the generous healthcare and pension plans these Federal workers have. You can add another $15-20K on top of the salary shown to account for the benefits they get. Factor in their job security and you have a nice work situation for many of these folks. Just for fun, I looked up a fellow who married the daughter of a good friend of mine a few years ago. Not doing too shabby - making $85K a year just a few years out of school. He got his job through his mother-in-law who just retired from her Federal job. She was grandfathered under the Cadillac retirement plan and now she sits back and collects a six-figure pension each year. These plump Federal jobs are hard to get and you need someone on the inside pulling you in from what I've heard - there is a lot of nepotism and inside connections involved. If Joe6Pack really realized what his tax dollars are funding there might be rioting in the streets :>)
