To all: Although I did not attend the shareholders meeting due to an unforseen circumstance, I'll convey what transpired from what I've heard and read. MUEI will offer an inexpensive PC priced under $1000 by early next year. They feel they can produce a better product than whats currently on the market in the $1000 and under range. It will also probably include a monitor which most other manufacturers don't offer at that price. Daltoso said, this low cost machine is one way MUEI can build name brand recognition. Plans for 1998 also include pursuing corporate and govenrment customers. They expect to have a base of operations in Asia next year. They also are putting the finishing touches on their 300,000 square foot expansion to its Nampa headquarters. The expansion which opens in early 1998 will allow the company to ship 1.5 million units a year. In regards to advertising Daltoso commented, the goal is not so much to increase sales, but to allow everyone to know who Micron is. Another question asked: Is it possible that MUEI would acquire others or be acquired? The response: We have had discussions in the last couple of months with companies we might be looking to acquire. Also major competitors have looked at acquiring us, but we're still here. (for how long though) Lastly in regards to earnings: Earnings are being hurt by the continual drop in PC prices. The PC's we sold for $2500 last year are now selling for $1700 today. Many shareholders pressed the companies executives about the companies disappointing stock performance. I didn't find out what the response was, but I can imagine they did everything possible to skirt that issue. If I hear anything more regarding the meeting I will pass it along to all on this thread. Hope this info helps. Good investing to all. MM
