Actually that's a mixed bag depending on whether they have an abundance of oil and/or natural gas.

But yes I do not want the Federal government bailing out any state (to include 16 billion dollar in debt California) as once the states know they can turn to Uncle Sugar they never will live within their means and, hence, neither will we as a people.

PS. Exceptions to be made for natural disasters or war.
