Watch as Calif first slowly and then increasingly rapidly slips into bankruptcy. Why? Because they have tried to take care of their own for years with practically free education and welfare benefits for every illegal immigrant who could make it across the border. The taxpayers finally passed Jarvis-Gann and said stop giving our money away.

Result: Budget deficits beyond the horizon and no seeming chance of reform as Brown appears stymied on a measely 1/4 of 1% sales tax increase.

California is dysfunctional politically and, currently, is our equivalent of Greece.

Meanwhile a lot of red states are at least able to pay their bills and don't have to resort to issuing IOU's to their State Employee's in Lieu of paychecks.

So we don't have to argue about what is going to happen. We can watch and see what happens to both Greece and California. Unless they change their ways they are both about to come up empty thanks to their over generosity to all and failure to live within their means.

But yes I do not want the Federal government bailing out any state (to include 16 billion dollar in debt California) as once the states know they can turn to Uncle Sugar they never will live within their means and, hence, neither will we as a people.

CA is one of the richest states in the Union. It is not the problem. There are many other states which need to be carried and we in the blue states have been doing that heavy lifting for decades.

But that doesn't matter........when you are a country just like with family, you take care of your own........it seems conservatives are far too narcissistic to get the concept.
