A chaplain wouldn't give last rites to any non-Catholic. As for salvation, counseling/advice on that would likely have to come at the request of the soldier involved.

Military chaplains are trained to perform ceremonies for faiths other than their own and for the vast majoirty that wouldn't be a violation of their beliefs. Because they're doing it FOR someone of that faith.

Christians aren't as intolerant as leftist atheists.
