I frankly don't what you are talking about with regard to California helping out red states. It can't even help itself out. What bothers me about California is its dithering (on both sides of the aisle) while it careens toward economic diaster. It's a preview of what is going to happen to the rest of us unless Washington gets its act together. Meanwhile the red states of Texas, Oklahoma, North Dakota, Wyoming, and possibly Montana are probably doing OK because of natural gas and oil discoveries--a lot better than California anyway.
