Obama was foolish, not to mention ungrateful, to stiffarm the Kennedys. Ted and Caroline's endorsement put him over the top! Prior to that yellow dog Dems were either supporting Hillary or were undecided. The Kennedy endorsement gave every establishment Dem permission to support the challenger, and it fired people up.

Elsewhere in the Klein book, he quotes Bill Clinton saying to Hillary, "There is no such thing as loyalty." I question the veracity of that quote, I can't believe things have changed that much. I have friends and relatives who work for the Dem machine (or what's left of it) here, and loyalty is EVERYTHING. You break your word one time, you're out.
