One additional word on flexibility regarding: Therefore I recommend buying 2 10BaseT ethernet cards and 1 crossover cable 2x25$ + 10$ for a cableto provide this connectivity. I recommend a combination ethernet card - one that can accept either 10BaseT or coaxial cable. With the coax cable you can daisy-chain together several computers without need for a hub or special software. I have 4 computers so networked and nothing more than Win95 for software. Works great. If you only need 2 computers networked, Sean's recommendation is good. Make sure to buy the special cable, however, for this functionality. Once you reach 3 or more networked 10BaseT computers, you'll need a hub. Some excellent advice on configuring Win95 software for networking can be found at windows95.com Derek
