who would have thought i would be able to buy GS for below when i sold it back in 2000.. sure, probably high single digit p/e for a while - depends on the quality of earnings. it's still got a good banking franchise, a huge private equity business and a clean (ish) balance sheet trading at below tbv. i basically just bought back my shares that i sold a few months ago just 10% cheaper. it's a small position under 3%
