Yep surprised me too but there is a great divide between those who use credit responsibly and those who don't. I think most had built up many large credit lines over the 25 year credit binge topping in 2007 and have been paying it down so while debt levels are still high, as a percentage of available credit it has come way down in five years which helps drive credit scores higher IF you pay on time.

My recent score was 867....
